PUNCTUATION
- Asterisks, *,**, or ***, indicates where a set of repeated steps begin or end
- A Comma (,) is used to separate steps within the instructions.
- An Em - dash is a long dash that is placed at the end of a instruction. The number following the Em - dash indicates that the number of stitches you have has worked in that row, or round
- Parenthesis ( ) are used to surround any comments that provide more information about certain steps within the instructions.
- A semi - colon (;) is used to separate steps within an instruction. A semi- colon is also used when separating larger sections within the instructions, a repetition, or a complex series of steps that results in a completion of one advanced stitch, or patterns.
- A set of square brackets [ ] is used to surround steps that are to be repeated a specific number of times.
